2025 Fashion Show Was a Huge Success
The Scrapstore Fashion Show in Tavistock, held at the Bedford Hotel, was a memorable and highly successful evening. It brought together creativity, sustainability and community spirit in a vibrant celebration of reuse and reinvention.
Set within the elegant surroundings of the Bedford Hotel, the event showcased an impressive collection of original designs. Each piece was created using recycled materials, reclaimed textiles or repurposed garments. As a result, the show highlighted the potential of sustainable fashion and demonstrated how waste materials can be transformed into something truly unique.
A Celebration of Sustainable Creativity
The runway came alive thanks to a fantastic group of models who confidently presented each design. Their energy and enthusiasm added to the atmosphere, ensuring every piece received the attention it deserved.
One of the standout moments was the “Trashion” section. This featured bold and innovative creations by students from Tavistock College, guided by their teacher, Kirsty Lawrence. Their work captured the spirit of the Scrapstore perfectly. In addition, their originality and commitment to sustainability made this segment a highlight of the evening.
Community Support and Collaboration
Events like the Scrapstore Fashion Show rely on strong community support. Therefore, we would like to thank the Lions Club of Tavistock for their valuable assistance on the night. Their contribution helped ensure the event ran smoothly from start to finish.
